Beavs win! Take road series from Ducks
BIG PLAYS WERE all around as No. 4 Oregon State knocked off No. 6 Oregon 12-2 and took the series in Eugene. Michael Conforto went yard with a second inning grand slam to put the Beavs up 6-0. The very next inning, with the bases loaded, CF Max Gordon made a full extension diving stab on a deep ball that likely saved three runs. The win gave the Beavs a two-game edge in the Pac-12 standings.
Beavs back atop the Pac-12 standings after W
THIS ONE WAS BIG. No. 4 Oregon State's 9-0 win over No. 6 Oregon means the worst that can happen after the three-game series in Eugene is that the Beavs will remain tied atop the Pac-12 with a game to go against the two teams -- in Corvallis. And if OSU wins on Sunday, they take a commanding position.
Moore Baffles Ducks As Beavers Cruise
Using a five-run eighth inning and a dominant pitching performance from freshman Andrew Moore, the No. 6 ranked Oregon State Beavers (42-9, 21-5) shut out rival No. 10 ranked Oregon (43-12, 20-6) at PK Park, 9-0 on Saturday afternoon at PK Park.

And then they were tied
IT WAS A good old fashioned pitcher's duel. Unfortunately for Oregon State, it didn't start on their end until the third inning. The Ducks scored three runs in the first two innings and OSU was unable to get untracked at the plate in a 3-0 loss to Oregon in the first of a three game series. The two schools are now tied atop the standings in the Pac-12.
It's Crunch Time For The Oregon State Beavers
It comes down to this. Civil War Series, baseball style.
This weekend the Oregon State Beavers (41-8 overall, 20-4 league) travel to Eugene to take on the Oregon Ducks (42-11, 19-5 respectively). With only a one game edge in the loss column, the Beavers need to keep their twelve game winning streak going to win the conference title. And a possible national seed for the NCAA Tournament...
Civil War Preview: No Predicting The Winner
I was hoping it would come to this.
Early this baseball season, people were talking about how good both Oregon State and Oregon would be in 2013.
While looking at the hot starts for both the Ducks and Beavers, fans would cast one eye on the schedule and see the series between the teams May 17-19 at PK Park. The question that usually went unspoken was ... would a Pac-12 Championship...
Holder boys still in the recruiting fray
Mikah and Alijah Holder currently hold six and seven scholarship offers, respectively. The latest university to throw its hat into the ring is Yale, which had a coach visit them earlier this week, as did Arizona, Oregon State and U.C. Davis. Meanwhile, Coach Howell of BYU has been in contact the twins, who are still trying to see if they can make it out to BYU for Junior Day on June 8.
Beavers and Ducks put Pac-12 focus on Oregon
There's a certain civility to the Civil War baseball rivalry between Oregon and Oregon State.
Since the Ducks brought back baseball in 2009, the rivalry with the Beavers has been growing. But this season both teams are nationally ranked in the top 10 and sit 1-2 in the Pac-12 standings.
The outcome of this weekend's Civil War series between the two teams could lead to the...

Huge showdown for Beavs and Ducks
IN A BASEBALL SEASON filled with big moments for Oregon State, the next four games between the Beavs and Oregon could be the biggest of all. OSU heads to Eugene for a three-game series starting on Friday, with the fourth game against the two teams slated for Monday in Corvallis. The Pac-12 title and postseason position may well lie in the balance.
Duvivier makes late decision
Oregon State badly needed a point guard to come in, in 2013 and they found a good one late.
Beav DT taking medical retirement

It's another sweep: OSU hangs on at Stanford
OREGON STATE HAS won just about every which way you can this season. On Sunday, the No. 5 Beavs did it again, holding off a Stanford rally to win 5-4 and post a road sweep at Sunken Diamond over the No. 25 Cardinal.
Series in hand, Beavs go for Stanford sweep
OREGON STATE HAS another series win in their pocket, now they'll go for the sweep. The No. 5 Beavs knocked off Stanford for the second straight day, 10-4, on Saturday. Oregon State is 11-3 against the Cardinal in California during that stretch.
BASEBALL: No. 5 OSU drops No. 25 Stanford
NO. 25 STANFORD had been pointing to this weekend for a while, the chance to play host to No. 5 Oregon State, notch a few wins and improve their standing. Oregon State, however, just kept rolling along when the two teams opened their three-game series.
Championship Caliber? Oregon State Beavers Might Be Getting There
It has always been the tale that teams who peak at the end of the season are the ones who usually end up as champions. Playing well in the end is where it counts. So, here we go Beavers, here we go.
Last weekend, Oregon State’s baseball team swept California in three games down in Corvallis. They followed that up with a mid-week victory over the Portland Pilots and now have...

According to The Oregonian’s Jason Quick, Payton wants...
Oregon State Beavers Are Running For Glory
The Kentucky Derby is this weekend and if the Oregon State Beavers baseball team was in a horse race, one could say they are in the final straightaway heading for the far turn. In their peripheral vision is a slight glimpse of the finish line. Longshot? Not likely. Destiny’s darling? Let’s hope so. Flowers, banners, trophy and last but certainly not least, the dog pile. OSU Spring Game recap: A fitting conclusion
CORVALLIS–It was an eventful end to the spring for Oregon State. In the spirit of not giving away too many secrets, Mike Riley kept the spring game strikingly similar to the practice regimen the Beavers have abided by these last four weeks – a lot of running and short, quick pass plays. Perhaps the biggest difference was the increased focus on young players, and a few stood out...
