Marcus Stoinis flatbatted experienced campaigner Peter Siddle over his head for a boundary during his belligerent knock of 74 off just 35 deliveries. His strike rate was a stellar 211.42 as the 33-year-old helped Melbourne Stars post a daunting total of 186/7 batting first.
He badgered the ball out of the park four times in an over to ransack 29 runs off Henry Thornton, whose figures were razed after a good three-over burst. The failure to execute his yorker cost the Adelaide Strikers' seamer as he was taken to the cleaners by Stonis.
