PLAYERS: Lance Armstrong
Olympic leaders held a summit meeting on doping and match-fixing but declined to give any details of the discussions. IOC President Jacques Rogge chaired Tuesday's session, which was attended by the four vice presidents of the IOC and leaders of international sports federations, national Olympic committees and other key groups. A key topic was the role of the World Anti-Doping Agency. Some sports federations requested the meeting in February following public spats between WADA and the International Cycling Union over the Lance Armstrong doping case. Rogge and IOC presidential candidates Thomas Bach, Ng Ser Miang and C.K. Wu were among the delegates who declined comment after talks at the Olympic body's headquarters. Pat McQuaid, president of cycling's ruling body, and predecessor Hein Verbruggen attended. No WADA representative was invited.
