On February 3 following his record-setting victory at SportsRadio 94WIP’s Wing Bowl 20, Takeru Kobayashi (2nd from L) presented Philabundance’s Marlo DelSordo (2nd from R) a check for $3,370.00 on behalf of Cherry Hill Imports representing $10.00 for every wing he ate in the annual contest earlier that morning. Joining them are Cherry Hill Imports’ Jon Alessandri (L) and local restaurateur Tony Luke, Jr. (R), who served as Captain of Team Kobayashi and donated an additional $500.00 to the regional food bank. The combined donation will fund 7740 meals for the Delaware Valley’s needy.

Renowned Japanese masticator Takeru Kobayashi polished off a record 337 chicken wings in 30 minutes Friday to be crowned champion of Wing Bowl 20.
Kobayashi swallowed the competition in Philadelphia's annual wing-eating contest, beating out reigning three-time champion Jonathan "Super" Squibb by 66 wings.
