Pop superstar Beyonce will perform during halftime at Super Bowl XLVI on Feb. 3, 2012 according to The Associated Press.
Beyonce, 31, will take the stage at the Mercedes Superdome in New Orleans during halftime.
Beyonce's hits include "Crazy in Love," "Irreplaceable" and "Single Ladies." She has won 16 Grammy Awards and sang the national anthem at the 2004 Super Bowl in Houston when the New England Patriots defeated the Carolina Panthers.
Ever since Janet Jackson's infamous wardrobe malfunction in 2004 the Super Bowl halftime show has been headlined by mostly older acts - Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Prince, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, The Who and Madonna.
This will be the first Super Bowl in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina.
