Rampage asks for the best; Angle answers:
MMA star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson made his TNA debut this week and he had a clear statement for the locker room. He’s going to be the best, and he knows to do that he has to beat the best.
So who is the best? Coming off a Hall of Fame induction and a victory over AJ Styles, nobody is going to argue with Kurt Angle. The Olympic Gold Medalist marked his territory and went face to face with the outsider. Angle told Jackson that while he might be the best in the cage, this is his world. He told Jackson that when he thinks he’s ready to get in the ring, he’ll have to go through him.
The two athletes had a tense stare-down, but mutual respect kept things clean. Rampage may have grown up watching Memphis Wrestling, but does he have what it takes to compete on Impact?
It will be a while before things get physical, but the seed has been planted. Rampage certainly has the charisma and presence to pull it off.
Is Brooke still in love with Bully?:
A question that is haunting Hulk Hogan is whether his daughter Brooke is over Bully Ray? The Aces and Eights leader’s dastardly actions certainly sent the promotion in a tailspin, but now the dust has settled the question is not as clear-cut as you might think. Brooke has confided in her father that she’s finding it hard to move on; she truly loved Ray, and at Slammiversary she briefly approached the ramp before being ushered away. Was it Sting she was concerned for or her Husband?
On this week’s Impact Wrestling Taryn Terrell broached the topic directly, asking Brooke if she still loved Bully. Her non-answer is all the answer she needed to give.
In the main event Bully took on his old adversary Jeff Hardy in Ladder Match with the Hammer suspended above the ring. Neither man could utilize the weapon once it came in to play, and Hardy ended up chasing the Champ backstage.
In the back a tired Bully sat down and Hulk Hogan approached from behind with a baseball bat, aiming to end all this mess right there. Before he could take a swing Brooke screamed “Nooo!!!” and the show came to an end.
Has Bully’s mind games over Brooke saved his ass? Or do they really still have feelings for each other?
