It’s safe to say that the last time Vince Gilligan teamed up with Rhea Seehorn they made a whole lot of people very happy. Better Call Saul might be the best spinoff in TV history. It might even be better than its predecessor Breaking Bad. But on their next TV series, Seehorn is going to do everything she can to make sure no one is happy. The world will depend on it. Because as the new trailer for Gilligan’s Pluribus shows, something is not right when everyone is smiling.
Apple TV provided a few more clues about what we can expect from Vince Gilligan’s new show Pluribus. (Which has nothing to do with crystal meth.) His latest series has been shrouded in mystery, with the streamer only providing any clues about what it’s about recently. Now the series’ latest trailer reveals that Seehorn’s Carol is just as confused as us. Turns out talking to the President through your TV doesn’t help makes sense of anything. The show’s official logline at least lets us know exactly what is at stake. From Apple TV:
Pluribus is a genre-bending original in which the most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness.
The show, written and directed by Gilligan, also stars Karolina Wydra (Sneaky Pete) and Carlos-Manuel Vesga (The Hijacking of Flight 601). Miriam Shor (American Fiction) and Samba Schutte (Our Flag Means Death) will guest star during the nine-episode first season.
Like Carol, we’ll start getting more answers soon enough. Pluribus will debut at Apple TV with its first two episodes on Friday, November 7, 2025. A new episode will follow every Friday until the season finale on December 26.
Will we all be very happy with what we see from Pluribus by then? That might depend on if Rhea Seehorn successfully avoids being happy on the show.
