ANNIKA SORENSTAM HAS BEEN SELECTED as the recipient of the 2012 Bob Jones Award, the USGA announced on Tuesday. The USGA’s highest honor, the award has been presented annually since 1955. Sorenstam, of course, is one of the all-time greats, a member of both the LPGA Tour Hall of Fame and World Golf Hall of Fame. She has served as an ambassador for various golf associations and bodies, including the USGA.Following is a piece I published here not long after Annika retired from golf.
