Belgian Born Golfer Nicolas Colsaerts Eagles Number 2 At The Open Championship Finishes The Day T2

Belgian Born Golfer Nicolas Colsaerts has never won a major golf championship in his life. He does have 9 wins to his credit his latest at the Volvo World Match Play Championship where he defeated Graeme McDowell one up in May of this year. Colsaerts didn’t let his lack of experience stop him from playing well at the Open Championship, he went out and set the tone early with an Eagle on the par 4 second hole. Colsaerts continued to play well on the front nine, he made a bogie on the third hole and made birdies on holes 7 & 9 to go out in 31. Colsaerts played the back nine very well, he made birdies at holes 12 & 15 to find himself tied for second after fifteen holes. With three holes left to play in his first round at the Open Championship and being in second place many wondered if Colsaerts could take over the lead Adam Scott had posted earlier in the day.
