PLAYERS: Sergio Garcia

Golfer Sergio Garcia is off to a great start in the Deutsche Bank Championship. He shot rounds of 65 and 64 to take over the lead and with another round in the mid 60′s he could extend his lead and hold on to win the second leg of the Fedex Cup. Garcia needs to put his past PGA Tour performances behind him and just play his game. He has been very stable in his first 2 rounds. If he can play today as well as he played the first 2 rounds things could be interesting for him come Monday. Garcia needs to hold on, he has a one stroke lead over the 2 guys in second place and the field is full of players that can go low. Mickelson is one of them. He posted an opening round of 63 and followed that up with a second round 71. It would be great to see Garcia hold on and extend his lead in the third round. He can do it but it is going to take not being Sergio to do it. He can’t let any bad shots make him lose his focus. He seems to like the TPC Boston course and he is able to put well on the greens. His ball striking has been as good as anyone in the field this week, and he isn’t having trouble reading the greens. Lets hope he can continue to play well.

It is great to see Sergio play well. He usually puts together one or 2 good rounds, but this week he looks to be in control of the tournament. Garcia comes into the final round with a 2 stroke lead...

Tiger Woods was right about Sergio Garcia, he went into the final round and he choked again.

Sergio Garcia did what Tiger Woods said he does every time he is leading a golf tournament. Yesterday Garcia only needed to play the same kind of golf he played in the first 3 rounds of the Deutsche Bank Championship. Instead, Garcia let his nerves take over and he went backwards. Garcia shot 3 rounds in the mid 60′s to start his final round with a 2 stroke lead. He could get anything...
