What is it with guys hitting golf balls on airplanes? First it was Bubba Watson and now, we’ve got Dutch star Joost Luiten getting in on the trend. Luiten has been sponsored by KLM, or Royal Dutch Airlines since 2013 and during a recent photo shoot for the company, hit some balls out of the engine of one of their Boeing 747′s.At schiphol Airport Hangaar 11 photoshoot for KLM!!! pic.twitter.com/gIDPmBMYQM— Joost Luiten (@joostluiten) April 24, 2014Hitting balls from a KLM boeing 747 engine!!! #cool #KLM pic.twitter.com/Fjt0DskfkP— Joost Luiten (@joostluiten) April 24, 2014You might think playing golf on an airplane wouldn’t be ideal, but it seems to be a popular spot to swing the wrenches. Scottish golf legend Colin Montgomerie even gave Sir Richard Branson golf lessons on the wing of one of his planes. More recently there was Bubba Watson making SportsCenter’s Top 10 with his airplane putt a few months ago. I guess “airplane golf” is becoming a thing. While it doesn’t quite sound like it’d work out too well, everyone seems to be trying it. And hey, it still seems safer than what Rickie Fowler likes to do in airplanes? Related Links: Bubba Watson Sinks Putt on a Plane, Makes SportsCenterOther Hot Links: - 9 Birthday Gift Ideas for John Daly- Tweek in Review: The Week’s Best Tweets- Weekend Recap: Noh, Ko Make South Korea Proud- Is Sergio Garcia’s Nephew the Next Bubba Watson?- Tiger Woods Eyeing Return at 2014 Open Championship
