Friday was a rough day at Augusta. With rain early and wind later in the day, scores were down for the most part. At the end the day we find history was made and many big names appear in a tightly packed field. Most of the field struggled all day through rain, winds, or both. Only five golfers managed to put up round 2 scores of 3-under 69 or better. Today’s low score also went to the 36 hole leader, Jason Day. His field low 68 (-4) put him at 6-under for the tournament, and after round 2 he sits alone atop the leaderboard. Just behind him ageless wonder Fred Couples and fellow Aussie Marc Leishman chase at 5-under. Early in the day #DateRapeFace Dustin Johnson caught fire and reached a field low 7-under, but his time on top was short lived as he began to deconstruct in the last 5 holes. He managed to slip 6 strokes by the time his round was finished. He’s good at blowing it, so coming out at 1-under wasn’t so bad.
