Like Te'oing and Tebowing before it, there is a new meme taking hold. It is called Dufnering. The picture above is where it originated from. We first saw this posted on Deadspin. That is PGA Tour member Jason Dufner visiting a Dallas area youth and family center as part of the build up for May’s Byron Nelson Championship. He looks completely miserable and it is hysterical. The entire tour took notice and his fellow members took to Twitter to make fun of him. A big hat tip to The Sports Grid for bringing the trend it to our attention.

Here is Rickie Fowler doing his version with Bubba Watson looking on:

Keegan Bradley, Dustin Johnson, and Brandt Snedeker and their threesome:

Rory looking quite possessed in his interpretation:

Luke Donald looking homely:

Bubba Watson making sure to get the General Lee involved:

And students at Auburn, where Dufner attended, are getting in on it:

We expect to see more as the day goes on, as the trending just started over the last 24 hours or so. You checkout the trend on Twitter. The internet is waiting, Tiger…

Updated: No it isn’t, Tiger. When Dufner woke up this morning, he attempted to defend himself:

But it appears as if he decided to just join the party. Here he istrying to recreate his pose while hanging out in the gym at Auburn:

Dufnering: A sleepy pose makes Dufner

Jason Dufner is all the rage on the PGA Tour without even playing this week in the Houston Open. Dufner was at a Dallas-area school to help promote one of the charities of the Byron Nelson Championship. After sitting on the floor for a few hours, his back was sore and he leaned against the wall. That's when a photo was taken of the two-time tour winner. Dufner is shown slouched...

PGA golfer Jason Dufner took some time on Thursday to hang out with a group of students at the Salesmanship Youth and Family Centers, which is an organization that works with troubled and at-risk kids and their families. As you can see from the photo above that Deadspin passed along, it appeared that Dufner was having the time of his life. My instant reaction was that Dufner had...

Here are a few photos of some of the PGA’s top golfers doing their ‘Dufnering’ poses. Bubba Watson doing...

Photo: @sportingnews The Nationals had a closed door meeting Thursday night, after they were blown out by the St. Louis Cardinals. Now it hasn’t come out exactly what was said in that meeting, however it seems that maximum effort was something stressed. Matt Williams told reporters after the game that Harper had been benched for “lack of hustle.” In the bottom of the 6th inning...

Are the San Francisco 49ers in store for a blowup season?

On the surface you could look at all the recent success for the San Francisco 49ers and easily assume they’re well on their way to being perennial contenders for a long time to come. But despite their 36-11-1 record over the last three years which included a Super Bowl trip in 2012 and NFC Championship game appearances in both 2011 and 2013 under Jim Harbaugh, the team seems to...

Is Miguel Cabrera this generation’s Hank Aaron?

On June 20, 2003, Miguel Cabrera struck out in his first big league at bat.  He’d get the last laugh however. In the bottom of the eleventh inning the 20-year-old rookie hit a two-run home run to help his then-Florida Marlins to a 3-1 victory over the then-Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Now, I bring that up only to awkwardly segue into this. Friday, the reigning American League MVP turned...
