OAKVILLE, ONTARIO, CANADA - JULY 25: Kevin Na plays off the 10th tee during round two of the RBC Canadian Open at Glen Abbey Golf Club on July 25, 2009 in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. (Photo by Chris McGrath/Getty Images)

Google ‘Kevin Na 16′ and you’ll get a video of PGA professional Na playing in the Valero Texas Open back in April. He was in the woods. Deep woods. Like crunching tree branches. And then Na tries to play out of the woods. His caddie looks like he’s hunting morel mushrooms. Na looks like a moron who’s about to shoot a 16 after butchering it out of the woods.

Yesterday, Na was at it again via the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

Premise of Video: Na steps up to the tee at the Par 4 15th in Vegas. Pulls driver. Makes his normal preparations. Seems poised to put one straight down the middle.

Climax of Video: WHIFF!

Conclusion: Of course you think Na is a complete moron who can’t golf, but he’s actually tied for the lead at Timberlake’s charity tourney.

Here’s his excuse for the miss via PGATour.com:

On the teebox of the drivable par-5 15th hole, Na was in the middle of his swing when something didn’t feel right with the transfer of his weight. He pulled up, intentionally missed the ball, gathered himself and then played the shot.

“I’ll take it back; it feels decent, and my transition is what I’m always working on,” Na said. “It’s always my bad habit is I get quick. And on the way down my transition doesn’t feel right, and I try to stop, and obviously it’s impossible for me to stop. The only way for me to stop is I have to come up and go over the ball.”
