PLAYERS: Tiger WoodsDavid Eger
When the news broke during the Masters that it was a person watching at home that outed Tiger Woods's mistake and cost him a couple of shots the world was a little shocked. Could it actually be that simple to mess with/have an effect on the outcome of one of the most prestigious events in golf? The answer for now still seems to be yes, but it appears that in this case maybe the source is what got officials to pay closer attention to the tip--Champions Tour golfer David Eger. Here is an excerpt from the SI interview with Eger: “I could see there was a divot — not a divot, a divot hole — when he played the shot the second time that was not there the first time. I played it again and again. I could see that the fairway was spotless the first time he played the shot and there was that divot hole, maybe three or four feet in front of where he played after the drop.” From that point he called his friend Mickey Bradley, a rules official at the Masters and the rest is pretty...

Players expecting a bumpy ride at Quail Hollow

Quail Hollow has been a symbol of perfection for 10 years since it returned to the PGA Tour lineup, a beautifully manicured golf course where the six major champions who have won ranged from Tiger Woods to Rory McIlroy. It is less than perfect this year. Some have even compared the greens to a rundown municipal course. One thing that hasn't changed at the Wells Fargo Championship...

Richard Cloutier: I Remember the Playoffs Once

Chicago and some other team are playing right now. I'd watch, but meh, I couldn't be bothered. It's not that playoff hockey is bad. Actually, in theory, this should be the most exciting time of the year for hockey fans. Problem is, I'm not a hockey fan. I'm an Oilers fan. The only thing the Oilers are playing right now is the back nine at Tiger Woods house...
