Scott Dixon is so close to winning, but can't quite get over the hump.

He's already off to a better start this season compared to the last three, but the disappointment of not finding victory lane is frustrating the 2008 Indianapolis 500 champion.

Dixon has finished second in both races so far this season. Following Sunday's Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama, the series will now take a week off to observe Easter before heading to Long Beach the following weekend.

Dixon has clearly been the strongest Honda driver in the field this season, and has been close to winning twice.

In St. Pete, race winner Helio Castroneves used a bold move on the outside in Turn 1to get by Dixon, and went on to win the race.

In Barber, Dixon led a race high 38 laps, but race winner Will Power passed Dixon on the last pit sequence as Dixon was exiting pit road, and the No. 9 Honda was once again the bridesmaid.

The second-place finish on Sunday was also the third consecutive second place finish at Barber for Dixon.

I can tell finishing runner-up is eating at Dixon, as his team's big rival Penske Racing is finishing the races off and ending up in victory lane.

I think Dixon is going to be a force once they figure out how to close out races strong. He sits only a few points behind Helio Castroneves and in second place in the standings entering Long Beach. If he can rattle off some wins, Dixon could give Target Chip Ganassi Racing their fourth straight championship, and Dixon's second series title.

I'd watch out for the No. 9 Honda in the coming races.
