Tanner Beebe reminds me of my 12-year old self. He’s just too talented and too good to play evenly with his peers. Much like young Mr. Beebe, I was never allowed to pitch in Massachusetts Little League baseball. In my case it was because I lived in Virginia when I was 12 but Tanner is being picked on for being, in his own words, “too good.” As first reported by MassLive and then picked up by Yahoo!, the kid is being offered his own Sophie’s Choice. He can stay on a team managed by his dad in the “Minors” level of Little League but not pitch, or he can move up to the “Majors” level and get back on the mound. Here I will ask you to use your considerable imagination, gentle reader, for I can not find the perfect YouTube clip to paste here.
