Player of the Game Jason Kipnis made a late-game comeback, overtaking Ubaldo Jimenez's score of 5.37 with his 3-run home run in the 9th inning. Kipnis achieved a score of 7.06 today, which included a single, a double, a walk, a home run, and 3 RBI. Kipnis now has a team-leading 7 PoG awards this season. Feathers Up Indians batters came out swinging after getting just 3 hits last night. Tribe hitters combined for 4 runs on 10 hits. Shin-Soo Choo, Jason Kipnis, and Shelley Duncan each had multiple hits in today's game. For the 3rd straight game, the starting pitcher has pitched at least 7 innings and has given up 2 runs or less. Ubaldo Jimenez pitched 7 innings in today's game, giving up just 1 run on 5 hits and striking out 7. His only mistake, just like Justin Masterson last night, was a home run to Carlos Beltran.
