Red Sox Contributions Dustin Pedroia- After Robinson Cano got injured on a Matt Harvey 97mph fastball that hit his leg, Pedroia came on to pinch run. Pedroia finished 0 for 2 with strikeout and a lineout he also played six innings in the field recording three putouts and no errors. David Ortiz- Ortiz started as the designated hitter and batted sixth in the lineup. Ortiz flied out to center in his first at bat and then grounded into a double play to end the top of the 4th inning. He was replaced by Toronto BlueJay Edwin Encarncion.  Clay Buchholz- Buchholz was injured and got replaced on the roster.  The Legend- Mariano Rivera ended his all-star game career with a perfect 1-2-3 inning to earn a hold and keep the American League up 3-0 going to the ninth. The big suprise of the night was that Rivera only pitched the eighth and Joe Nathan pitched the ninth for the save.
