Oakland right fielder Josh Reddick has been injured after colliding into a wall trying to chase down a foul ball against the Astros.
Reddick appeared to injure his right wrist when he fell chasing down a foul ball hit by Marwin Gonzalez in the fifth inning.
He remained on the ground and was looked at by trainers for a couple of minutes before getting up and walking to the dugout. He was holding his right wrist as he left the field.
After the injury, Seth Smith moved from left field to right, and Yoenis Cespedes entered the game at left field.
There was no immediate word from the team on Reddick's injury.

The Oakland Athletics got a double dose of good news yesterday after what looked to be a double dose of bad news. Both Josh Reddick and Brett Anderson had to leave yesterday's game with injuries. Reddick slammed into the wall while going after a foul ball. Anderson was hit in the thumb by a comebacker up the middle. Reddick's injury looked most frightening, but...
A’s outfielder Josh Reddick said he won’t play in Tuesday’s series opener against the Angels in Anaheim due to a sprained wrist suffered Sunday against the Astros.
The bearded one injured the wrist on a scary crash with a wall in foul territory in Houston that looked far worse than X-rays later revealed it to be.
Reddick confirmed being out of Tuesday’s lineup to 95.7 The...

After dominating the Houston Astros on Friday night, A's starting pitcher Dan Straily got the typical pats on the back and fist pounds from his teammates, and then was demoted to AAA Sacramento to make room for veteran starter Bartolo Colon in the Oakland rotation. Straily knew the move was going to happen, but it's still a little surprising to see a pitcher get sent to the...
Brett Anderson struck out 10 more Houston batters and the Oakland Athletics backed him with three home runs for a 9-3 win Sunday and a three-game sweep of the Astros.
Coco Crisp homered for the third straight day, Jed Lowrie again connected against his former team and Chris Young homered in his hometown. The A's sent Houston to its fifth straight loss.
