The Detroit Tigers Miguel Cabrera is probably the best player in all of baseball. It is tough to argue with at this very moment. His body of work over the past several seasons cannot be matched by anyone in all of Major League Baseball. Last year, he captured the Triple Crown, the first time anyone had done that in 45 years. This helped him capture the AL MVP award over Mike Trout, who himself had a historically great season as well. But once again, Cabrera is on pace to win the Triple Crown, and he might do it in an even more dominating fashion. You would wonder why any team would bother pitching to him at this point. It would not be a stretch to say that Cabrera is the most feared hitter in all of baseball, much like Barry Bonds was a decade ago. Bonds, regardless of the cloud of performance-enhancing drugs, is one of the greatest hitters in the history of baseball. He dominated baseball games in a way that is very similar to what Cabrera is doing now. USA Today decided to speak to Bonds about the man who is drawing comparisons to him, and Bonds first [...]

Miguel Cabrera ignores tattooed chick begging for foul ball, gives it to hotter girl

Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera is the best hitter on the planet, and quite possibly the best hitter of our generation.  When he’s not hitting home runs, it appears he is scoping out the attractive girls in the stands.  On Tuesday night during the Tigers game against the Cleveland Indians he got ready to toss a foul ball to a fan in the stands.  A tattooed girl was...

Miguel Cabrera’s 2013 numbers dwarf his 2012 Triple Crown numbers at this time

Miguel Cabrera is a pretty good hitter.  On the heels of his 4 for 4, three home run, five RBI night against the Texas Rangers, his current numbers (through 42 games) make his numbers from last year through the 42 games look ordinary. ESPN At the time of this post (May 20, 11:30 EDT), Cabrera leads the American League (and Majors) in batting average with a .387 clip. Rays first...

Detroit Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera Almost Decked With Foul Ball

Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera almost lost a battle with a screaming foul ball off the bat of teammate Matt Tuiasosopo. Cabrera laughed it off playfully but there is no doubt Manager Jim Leyland would have had some choice words for “Big Matt” had he injured the franchise player. The post Detroit Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera Almost Decked With Foul Ball appeared first on Baseball Hot Corner.

Watch Miguel Cabrera’s three home runs against the Rangers

Even though the Detroit Tigers lost to the Texas Rangers, 11-8, Miguel Cabrera put on quite a show at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Cabrera finished 4-4 on the night (one intentional walk) and also hitting three long balls back-to-back-to-back. It’s either Cabrera or Albert Pujols for the best hitter in our era. I’d have to side with Cabby.

Miguel Cabrera Goes Yard Three Times

courtesy of sportingnews.com We can all put to rest whether or not Miguel Cabrera’s “Triple Crown” season last year was a fluke or not.  Going into Sunday night’s game against the Texas Rangers, Miggy was leading the majors in hitting with a .384BA 8HR, and 46RBI.  Then all of a sudden the Texas Rangers and baseball fans all over the nation witnessed the best hitter...

Barry Bonds: ‘There’s no comparison’ between him and Miguel Cabrera right now

Detroit Tigers superstar Miguel Cabrera is on pace for perhaps a second Triple Crown. That impresses Barry Bonds, but Bonds still believes he's far better.

Barry Bonds: Miguel Cabrera is Great, but Not as Great as I Was

Former outfielder and slugger Barry Bonds typically tries to stay away from the media as he has made it clear over the years that he does not enjoy talking to them. So when Bonds actually does decide to speak, it usually is something worth noting or at least being discussed. Bonds did a phone interview [...]

Is Cabrera's run greatest in history?

In Monday night's Yankees-Orioles game at Camden Yards , New York's Robinson Cano and Baltimore's Chris Davis each hit their 13th home run of the season, giving them the share of the AL lead. But it's a guy sitting two home runs behind them, and who didn't even play on Monday, making all the headlines -- again. With his three-homer game at Texas on Sunday night...
