The 2025 World Series between the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers has had a little bit of everything, and that also included a near-bench-clearing brawl in Game 7 on Saturday night. While there was very little brawling taking place, the benches and bullpens still emptied in the bottom of the fourth inning.
The chaos happened when Dodgers relief pitcher Justin Wrobleski threw a couple of high-and-tight pitches to Blue Jays infielder Andres Gimenez.
The third pitch up-and-in finally hit him, prompting an angry reaction from Gimenez, an equally angry response from Wrobleski, and then everybody gathering around home plate.

There were no ejections, but both benches were issued warnings.
While nobody likes being thrown at or getting hit by a pitch, there is virtually no chance anybody was intentionally throwing at a batter in this situation.
Not only is it Game 7 of the World Series, where every base runner and run matters, but the Dodgers were already trailing 3-1 on the scoreboard at that point.
It is also fair and valid to point out that Gimenez is Toronto's worst hitter, and the Dodgers, under almost no circumstances, would have wanted to put him on base for free.
Still, that exchange produced another wild chapter in a World Series that has already proven to be a classic.
