The Atlanta Braves have Los Angeles Angels outfielder/first baseman Mark Trumbo on their radar, according to David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He's on the Braves radar RT @gregoruhlmann: @ajcbraves any chance the braves go for trumbo? — David O'Brien (@ajcbraves) December 14, 2012 There have been reports that the Angels will trade one of their extra outfielders, a group that includes Trumbo, Peter Bourjos and Kendrys Morales, now that they’ve signed Josh Hamilton. While Bourjos is reportedly more likely to be dealt than Trumbo, there is a feeling that both can be acquired for the right player. It appears that the Angels are targeting pitching for their extra outfielders, as they’ve been tied to New York Mets right-hander R.A. Dickey. The Braves have already traded one starter to the Angels this offseason, right-hander Tommy Hanson. Last season for the Angels Trumbo hit .268/.317/.491 with 19 doubles, three triples and 32 home runs over 544 at-bats. The 26-year-old owns a career line of .259/.302/.478 over three seasons at the major league level.  Follow @mlbinjurynews !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);;js.src="";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs"); var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-34100676-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? Braves' Teheran shines in Dominican

Julio Teheran's last three starts before the Dominican winter league all-star break showed why the right-hander remains the Atlanta Braves' top prospect despite a difficult second season in Class AAA last summer. The 21-year-old from Colombia allowed just two hits over 16 2/3 scoreless innings for Licey, and one of the outings came Dec. 9 with general manager Frank Wren...

Janish and Pastornicky – What is the Future?

The Braves signed shortstop Ramiro Pena on Thursday to help back up Andrelton Simmons. Last season Simmons suffered a broken finger that kept him out a couple of months, then a sprained ankle in September.   Until he proves his durability, it is important to have a plan B. Pena is a good field, light-hitter, who has spent four seasons with the Yankees.  He has appeared in 180 games...

Troy Glaus contacted Yankees about contract

Troy Glaus may attempt a comeback. Glaus, 36, has not played since 2010. Glaus contacted the New York Yankees about a contract according to Sweeny Mutri. Glaus says his body feels better after sitting out the last two seasons. With the signing of Kevin Youkilis it is safe to assume the Yankees would not even extend a spring training invite to Glaus who hit 320 home runs in his career...
