Up until the top-half of the 8th inning, Friday night's game was played at a rapid, scoreless pace.  Both starters lasted seven innings, giving up zero runs to their opposition.  Things turned for the worse for the Phillies, after Kendrick exited the game.  Antonio Bastardo allowed the go-ahead run to score on a bases-loaded walk, and he furthermore gave up a grand slam to 6-time All-Star Brian McCann.

Phils' slugger Ryan Howard returned to the lineup tonight, going 2-4 with a double.
