Orioles' Roberts could finally be close to return

The Baltimore Orioles lost the finale of their three-game series with the Red Sox Wednesday afternoon, but many with the Baltimore franchise were thinking about a certain player and not the 6-5 defeat. On Roberts and his attempt to return to O's

I've got a feeling this is going to be a hot topic for quite a while. *** As we all know, veteran Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts returned to competitive baseball last night as he played three innings for the Double-A Bowie Baysox last night. Roberts is playing for the Baysox as part of a rehabilitation assignment...

AL East Quarter Report Card

Baltimore OriolesHitters: B+. The Orioles are a year removed from a .729 OPS that was close to the middle of the pack in the league. This season, that team OPS is slightlt up to .749, and the main reason is center fielder Adam Jones. Jones was involved in trade talks this offseason, and his future in Baltimore was in doubt. The Orioles kept him, and Jones has responded by OPSing...

BALTIMORE- The Baltimore Orioles got some timely power and pitching, and that was enough to break their two-game losing streak Tuesday night. Atrocious Baserunning by Red Sox, Orioles Providing Terrible Example for Baltimore Kids (Video)

The Orioles are celebrating Field Trip Day on Wednesday during the Red Sox game, but hopefully the kids aren't paying attention too closely to the game. Because if they are, they're learning some pretty terrible fundamentals on how to run the bases. Both teams have made mistakes in this one, from getting thrown out at third to make the last out of an inning to not runnning...

This afternoon, the Orioles lost to the Boston Red Sox, 6-5. They could not get the series win, and are 28-17 on the season. Jake Arrieta pitched well; however, he once again suffered with inconsistency on the afternoon. Despite only being at .500 – with a record at 22-22 – the Red Sox are still formidable and have a tough lineup with a mixture of veterans and youngsters. The...

O's are winning, but where are the fans?

I wrote this last week for *** The Orioles are fast approaching the quarter-pole of the 2012 season, and I'm sure many fans are asking themselves these questions: Are the Orioles for real? Can they keep this up? Or are they pulling the wool over our eyes, and will the team that we've seen for the last 14 years make an appearance? Right now, I'd...
