After losing two of three games to the New York Mets, as well an off day, the Chicago Cubs (18-25) will begin a three game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates (26-18). Here are the pitching matchups: Tonight’s game will beging at 6:05 p.m. CST, broadcast on CSN. Taking the mound will be Matt Garza, who will be making his start of the season, after not pitching in a major league game for almost a year. Taking the mound for the Pirates will be Wandy Rodriguez, who has a record of 4-2 with a 3.25 ERA. Wednesday’s game will see the first pitch thrown at 6:05 p.m. CST, broadcast on WGN, with the Cubs trotting out Jeff Samardzija, who has a record of 2-5 and an ERA of 3.49 ERA. The Cubs will be facing Francisco Liriano, who has a record of 2-0 to go with his 1.64 ERA Thursday’s game will be an early getaway game starting at 11:35 a.m. CST and broadcast on CSN. Starting for the Cubs will be Edwin Jackson, who has a record of 1-6 and an ERA of 5.76.  The Pirates will have Jeanmar Gómez on the bump, he has a record of 2-0 and an ERA of 2.78. This will not be an easy series, as the Pirates have been playing well this year, while the Cubs have been struggling. What are your thoughts on this series?
