It seems pretty clearly that Yu Darvish is not going to be a Yankee. So as it stands now, the 2012 Yankees pretty much look exactly the same as the 97 win 2011 team that got bounced out of ALDS. Names have floated but nothing has gotten serious. Felix Hernandez and Gio Gonzalez would be the best choices for the Yanks but the asking price is way too high, pretty much cleaning out the best of their farm system. The Yankees really need a number 2 starter and the most realistic choice at this point would be John Danks. Danks, who is a 26 years old lefty, won 15 games in 2010 but struggled last year going 8-12 with a 4.33 ERA.Danks will become a free agent after next season and although his asking price from the White Sox has been somewhat high this winter you might see it lower as Spring Training approaches in a "mild rush" to get something for him. The young guns the Yanks have in their farm system are A+ prizes and look to be future stars so rushing to get rid of them for AN...

Yankees: Sign Cespedes, Trade Montero?

The Potential The big rumor of the week circling the Yankees has been their overwhelming interest in Cuban defector, Yoennis Céspedes.  On the surface this move looks to be the end of Yankees fan favorite, Nick Swisher.  Céspedes is a natural center fielder with plus speed and a plus bat; and could very well be an upgrade [...] No related posts.

Rumor: Yankees still big on Yoenis Cespedes

About a month and a half ago when we first heard the name Yoenis Cespedes, the Yankees were attached to him. The Yankees have denied...

New York Yankees: Phew, Rangers Got Yu

Are the New York Yankees are officially cheapskates? Yu Darvish's New Home In Arlington, TX. Edwin Jackson May Provide a Solid Option for the New York Yankees

Word on the street is that the New York Yankees will fall short in the Yu Darvish sweepstakes.  I want to hold out hope that everything being rumored at this point ends up holding no weight.  I’ve been telling myself that nobody has any concrete information yet and that the New York Yankees could still be right in the thick of the mix.  I think that is just me going through...

Yankees lose out on Darvish Bid to Rangers

Rangers win Darvish bid at $51.7M Hello. If the Yankees really wanted Darvish you know they would of done every thing in their power to get him. Wilson and Mark Buerhle on the list of high-profile pitchers who won’t be wearing pinstripes...

Rumors: Interest isn’t mutual between Yankees and Oswalt

This morning we heard that free agent starter Roy Oswalt is just looking for a one-year deal as opposed to the three-year contract he was supposedly seeking. This seemed to have opened the door for the Yankees to get involved in bidding for his services since they aren’t looking to sign any pitchers on multi-year deals. However, this does not seem to be the case. Oswalt is...
