Left-hander John Danks has no problem watching the Chicago White Sox continue to win games. The growing problem for Danks is that he's still on the disabled list with no real timetable for a return. Thanks to Jake Peavy's lights-out outing Friday, the Sox have won four straight at home, sweeping the Texas Rangers and now winning the first game of the series with the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-2. Peavy finally got a few runs to work with, and the right-hander went 7 1/3 innings and allowed just one run on five hits while fanning seven. Peavy and Chris Sale have anchored a rotation that has watched Jose Quintana emerge, Gavin Floyd survive, and Dylan Axelrod step in for an injured Philip Humber to give the Sox innings and keep them in first. Danks was the Opening Day starter, and he would love nothing more to begin pulling his weight again. The problem is a Grade 1 strain in the shoulder that isn't cooperating as everyone thought it would. Instead of helping the Sox main...

Let’s take a look at the current team to see what the Sox farm system has produced. Pitching Starting with the...

Your browser does not support iframes. Ah, nothing like rookie hazing in the major leagues. At least these guys didn't have to dress...

Streaking White Sox Need To Improve Bullpen

The weather in Chicago has been as hot as it’s been in years. With triple-digit temperatures for three straight days, it’s hard to imagine anything hotter than this heat in the Windy City. The Chicago White Sox may be even hotter than that, though. Nate Jones is one of many rookies in the White Sox bullpen. He has earned faith and trust, but the Sox likely need to shore up the...

Blue Jays-White Sox Preview

Kevin Youkilis may find the Chicago White Sox's season-long problems at home a bit surprising. The third baseman had an outstanding first series at U.S. Cellular Field with the White Sox, who will be in search of a sixth straight home victory in Friday night's series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays. The White Sox (45-37) have moved over .500 at home at 22-21 for the...

Youk’s A Good Locker Room Guy

So the Red Sox traded Kevin Youkilis to the White Sox, and last night he gets a walk-off hit, and today he scores the tying run and hits a home run that ends up being the difference in a 2-1 win.  Terrific. Meanwhile, Will Middlebrooks is hurt and it’s unclear how bad it is, and the Red Sox are in the midst of a three-game losing streak. I hate sports. But I don’t hate whatever...
