Waiting For Next Year:
In an item that probably only interests me and a select few others, the Indians had their ‘Photo Day’ recently. That isn’t the interesting thing of course, as teams do this every spring. The interesting part is that the team apparently was wearing last year’s uniforms.
You may remember the Indians announcing changes were being made to the team’s uniforms. Most notable among the changes was the removal of piping around the collar and down the button panels. The script Indians is also more subdued.
Except in the team pictures.
For reference, here are the new team uniforms-
So what happened?
According to the Indians, it is just what you think it is. The new uniforms simply haven’t arrived yet. Not enough for 70+ players, coaches and staff.
WFNY is assured they will be ready for opening day however.

The question of whether it would be Ubaldo Jimenez or Justin Masterson on opening day has been answered and Masterson is getting the nod. The 6’6″ 26 year-old had a pretty impressive year last year for the Tribe winning 12 games with a 3.21 ERA for the year. Masterson was a workhorse too, starting 33 games for the Indians.
