Through two weeks of play, two teams have risen to the top of the NL East: the Atlanta Braves and the Washington Nationals. The Braves won their fourth in a row last night, and have now won nine of ten games after starting the year 0-4. Oddly, their record is powered by a high octane offense, as the Braves lead all of baseball with 84 runs scored through 14 games, or an average of six per game. The Nationals on the other hand, are 11-4 on the season, and are charging forth to the best record in the National League due to a 2.38 staff ERA. Their rotation has just a 2.03 ERA. The two teams won't have their first duel for another five weeks, on the weekend of May 25th. Who knows where they'll be in the standings at that time. Game of the Night: Giants 4, Mets 3. The Giants put up a three spot in the third inning, and held that lead until the ninth.
