There have been 23 perfect games in Major League Baseball history. Fortunately for Bode Dockal, two of the 23 perfect games occurred during the first two games he's ever attended in person.
Paul Dockal brought his son Bode –– who is nine months old –– to Safeco Field on April 21. That afternoon, he was treated to a show when White Sox pitcher Philip Humber threw a perfect game against the Mariners. The opportunity to watch history unravel was a memorable moment for the Dockal family, who hail from the Chicago area and are avid White Sox fans.
But lightning would strike twice for them. Nearly four months after the momentous game, Paul and Bode returned to Safeco Field on Aug. 15 for their second game of the season and witnessed Felix Hernandez toss a perfect game.
"It’s one of those things that, I don’t think he could understand how important it was for me to be with him until he has a son of his own," Paul told MLB.com.
The odds of attending two perfect games in one's first two trips to an MLB game are improbable, but now, Bode will have a story to share when he grows up.

BEST OF MAXIM
People tend to make a bigger deal out of home run balls than they really should. With that in mind, it would be cool to catch a milestone, such as Adam Dunn's 400th career home run, which he hit in Kansas City on Saturday. But would that souvenir be worth a potential night in the slammer? One White Sox fan obviously thought so, as he went tumbling into the Kauffman Stadium fountains...

Adam Dunn belted the 400th home run of his career on Saturday night, which is a massive feat for any slugger to accomplish. Unfortunately, not all White Sox fans were able to enjoy it. Dunn’s homer came at Kauffmann Stadium in Kansas City and fittingly landed in the fountains beyond the outfield bleachers. When the ball came down, a Chicago...
A White Sox fan who went into the Kauffman Stadium fountains to retrieve Adam Dunn's home run ball was arrested.
It was a weekend of milestones for the Chicago White Sox, but not all of them were ones that left the team very excited. The Sox were swept for just the second time this season, as Kansas City beat them 5-2. With the Royals getting the win, it was also the first time in 21 years that Kansas City has now beat the Sox five straight times, and their record at Kauffman Stadium is now...
The Chicago White Sox made a series of roster moves Friday, including activating first baseman Paul Konerko from the seven-day disabled list, MLB.com reported. Konerko was on the DL for concussion symptoms from taking an unintentional elbow to the head from Kansas City Royals Jarrod Dyson on a play at first base on Aug. 7. He was placed on the DL on Aug. 10. The first baseman is...
Chicago White Sox slugger Adam Dunn hit his 400th career homer in the eighth inning against the Kansas City Royals.
Dunn, who leads the majors with 35 homers, hit a 2-2 pitch out to left-center against Tim Collins on Saturday night.
Dunn and Paul Konerko are the first teammates to reach 400 career homers in the same season.
Dunn is one of 11 active players with at least 400 homers...
Despite being at the top of the AL Central, the Chicago White Sox could not catch up to the Kansas City Royals this weekend.
Another no-decision for Quintana
After dropping the first two games, the Sox only managed three hits in Sunday’s contest. In fact, the Royals’ starter Jeremy Guthrie had a no-hitter going until the seventh. Paul Konerko’s infield single put an end to...
(AP) -- After a successful stretch without their captain, the Chicago White Sox are hoping to get Paul Konerko back in the lineup to start the weekend, although he hasn't been much help against the Kansas City Royals this year.
Konerko and the White Sox will look to start playing better against the Royals, who host a three-game AL Central series beginning Friday night.

-Congrats to Adam Dunn on his 400th career home run. An opposite field shot that landed in the Kauffman Stadium fountain; I find it fitting that this milestone blast came on a Saturday night. Adam Dunn is a Saturday night type of guy. I remember so many of the 400 Dunner. Right down to your first.
