LA Dodgers: The Dodgers went to great lengths to reel in Zack Greinke (SP). Unless his elbow problems escalate, draft him with confidence.
SD Padres: The Padres had a quiet winter.
Arizona Diamondbacks: Martin Prado (OF) has always hit for a good avg. and had modest power, but what impressed people last season was his newfound speed. Prado is a good mid to late-round option if you need to fill a 3B spot. Starting pitcher Brandon McCarthy can be a good mid-draft pick if he stays healthy, something he doesn’t have a good track-record of doing. One of the big question marks in Arizona is Cody Ross (OF). If he can get a good amount of playing time, his skill against left-handed pitchers will pay off handsomely.
Colorado Rockies: The Rockies didn’t make any notable moves this winter.
SF Giants: The World Series Champion Giants focused on retaining their core group of players and didn’t make any major acquisitions.
