USATSI Former Tigers third baseman Brandon Inge was one of the most polarizing athletes ever to wear a Detroit uniform over the last handful of years in Detroit.  Three years after being released by the Tigers nearly a year ago (last April 26), Inge signed with the Oakland A’s.  After that one-year deal ended, he signed a minor league deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates this past February. He’s currently on a rehab assignment with the Pirates’ AAA team, the Indianapolis Indians.  On Tuesday night, the Indians were in Toledo playing the Mud Hens.  During the game, a belligerent Mud Hens made it well-known what side of the polar ends he was on during and after Inge’s tenure in Detroit. According to the Toledo Blade, the fan had spent the better part of the evening heckling and throwing peanuts in the direction of Inge.
