Five teams have interest, or potential interest in free-agent Nick Swisher, according to sources. Those teams are the Indians, Mariners, Orioles, Red Sox and Giants The Red Sox would have to move center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury first. The Giants could pursue Swisher if they decide to spend on the left fielder after committing combined a $78 million to retain Jeremy Affeldt, Angel Pagan and Marco Scutaro. However, the Giants more likely to go with Gregor Blanco and a platoon partner in left. Swisher is a switch-hitter who can play first base or outfield; his versatility adds to his appeal.
