Some of the biggest names from the 2011 Florida League season will be returning to the diamond for the upcoming 2012 campaign. Here's a look at some of the names on the list:

Ted Blackman - Coastal Carolina - Winter Park Diamond Dawgs Last season's League MVP will be coming back to play for coach Kevin Davidson and the Diamond Dawgs. Last season, Blackman set a number of Florida League records, including highest batting average and on base percentage, as well as the career mark for hits. He hit a whopping .425 with 38 runs scored and 28 stolen bases. In his first year at Coastal, Blackman is currently hitting .239, though he has 11 stolen bases and is second on the team in walks with 24.

Michael Danner - Polk State - Winter Park Diamond Dawgs Danner will be bringing one of the hottest bats in the country to Winter Park. As of May 2 (through 49 team games), Danner is hitting .330 with an astounding 63 RBI to go with 41 runs and 9 homeruns. He has also showcased an impressive set of wheels, stealing 26 bags in 30 attempts on the year. Last season in the Florida LEague, Danner hit .276 with 25 runs and 17 RBI.

Ethan Bader - Armstrong Atlantic - Leesburg Lightning Bader was the recipient of the 2011 Florida League Reliever of the Year award after leading the league in strikeouts with 47 in only 30.2 innings pitched. He only allowed one earned run all season and finished with a 0.29 ERA. His dominance on the mound has carried over to Armstrong Atlantic, where he leads not just the Pirates, but the entire Peach Belt Conference in wins (10), innings pitched (96) and strikeouts (98).

Alex Mendez - South Florida - Sanford River Rats Sanford fans will never forget the historic run to the playoffs made by the team in late July last season. Mendez was definitely the key contributor to that run, providing timely hits and superb defense along the way. The all-star game MVP led the Rats in batting average (.326), hits (43), runs (28), doubles (9) and stolen bases (10). This season for the Bulls, Mendez is hitting at a .271 clip with a team high 29 RBI. His 42 hits are 2nd most on the team, trailing only former River Rat James Ramsay who has 61.

Tyler Rocklein - State College of Florida-Manatee - Winter Park Diamond Dawgs Rocklein has had an outstanding season for the Manatees, leading the squad in average (.343), runs (45), RBI (46) and home runs (3). His 25 stolen bases rank him 3rd on the team. Though he only played in a handful of games for the Dawgs last summer, he made his time count, batting .316 with 4 RBI in only 6 games. He will add yet another qualit bat to an already potent Winter Park lineup.
