Game 33: Sox lay an egg and lose 6-1 Ryan Dempster pitched seven strong innings and only gave up two runs to the Minnesota Twins, but Red Sox batters could get nothing going off of Scott Diamond on Tuesday night at Fenway Park. In the end, two Red Sox errors broke the game open and the Red Sox dropped game two of the series 6-1. Here are the four at bats that changed the game. 1)Top of the fifth inning, and the score is knotted at zero. With a man on third and Chris Parmelee up, Ryan Dempter throws Parmeee a dirty split fastball that he pops up to the third base side. Both Will Middlebrooks and David Ross run full speed to make the catch, but as Middlebrooks gets the out, the two collide. The collision eventually removes both players from the game. See the collision here. 2) Top of the fifth. Wilken Ramirez is up after Parmelee, and he takes a fastball right past the drawn in infield and just off of the diving Stephen Drew to draw first blood. 1-0 Twins. See the single here...
