Love My Bravos:
I'm sorry, did something else happen in this game? Because this is all I remember. :D
Second game in two days with Susan. We had the best time! We didn't have our "megaphones" (Chipper posters) today, but it's not like we needed them - there was such a roar for everyone! September callups are always exciting.
Pictures starting with BP, as usual...
EO should model.
Smiling!! I love EO.
The Peter Moylan Party
Don't always see Paul Maholm in the outfield for BP. He has a rosin hat like Cliff Lee.
More pictures of Eddie posing in the gallery. :)
BASEBALL ACTIVITIES! Hurry back, Simba!
Check out Fransden's McDonalds cleats.
Huddy warming up in the outfield
I hate the Oblivious Cam when they put people under the big screen on it. Of course they're never going to see themselves.
Reed is great, and he would be even better if we could have a discussion about that thing on his chin.
They're acting like besties again. I love it. :)

Atlanta Braves sideline reporter Tom Hart digs into some grub!
Ever wonder what these sideline reporters are doing during their downtime while on the job? Well, we know what Atlanta Braves, reporter Tom Hart does; digs into some grub!
When the Braves broadcast booth threw it over to their reporter, Tom Hart, they were expecting him to give some expert analysis...
Atlanta, GA. Atlanta Braves’ Chipper Jones should be the NL MVP for 2012. Chipper isn’t in the top five in any statistical category but is hitting .302 so far this year. He is a career .304 hitter with 1619 career RBI and 2711 hits. I am of the opinion that the MVP of the league should be the player that affects his team the most regardless of statistics. Chipper this year...
Atlanta Braves second baseman Dan Uggla confirmed on Monday what his manager hadn't officially put into words: The National League's starting All-Star second baseman didn't get the start off Sunday just because Phillies left-hander Cole Hamels was starting. He has been benched. Uggla spoke candidly before Monday's game versus the Rockies, saying that manager Fredi...
GAME OVER, MAN
Back on May 2nd, the Braves beat the Phillies 15-13 in 11 innings on a walkoff homer by Chipper Jones in one of the craziest games of the year. Four months to the day later...Jones did it again, hitting a three-run homer off of Jonathan Papelbon in the bottom of the ninth to give the Braves an 8-7 win in a game they once trailed 7-1.
This win was a necessary one for Atlanta,...
Anyone who’s made his way to these electronic pages is like well-aware that Kris Medlen has been excellent of late — is, in fact, the majors’ best pitcher over the last month by most relevant measures. Nor, really, has Medlen been more excellent of late than he was on Monday afternoon against the Colorado Rockies (box), during which game he recorded 12 strikeouts and zero walks...
Jimmy Rollins provided the rebound spark for the Philadelphia Phillies. Can he will his club to close the 8-game gap for the 2nd wild card?
TAL’S HANDY CAPS
I will publish after every game that is not washed out. I will have many summer-long highlights of puzzle pieces, especially important after drubbings and defeats. If you were directed here by a feed...
De Fratus is back after arm issues (AP)
The Phillies youth movement in the bullpen continues. On Saturday, lefty Jake Dikeman was recalled from Lehigh Valley and on Sunday Justin De Fratus made the trip to meet the Phillies in Atlanta.
Diekman’s control was the issue and the reason why he was demoted. That continued with the Iron Pigs as he walked 10 batters in 11 1/3 innings...
Chipper Jones hit a three-run homer off Jonathan Papelbon with
two outs in the ninth inning, capping a five-run rally that sent
the Atlanta Braves over the Philadelphia Phillies 8-7 on
The Phillies topped the Reds on Monday afternoon by a score of 4-2 using a combination of rookies and just a dash of experience. In his second major league start, Tyler Cloyd walked away with the victory. Catcher Steven Lerud collected his first major league win behind the plate in his second appearance. And Phillippe Aumont, in his 4th major league game, got his first major league...
The veteran pitchers all took Labor Day off yesterday as the youth movement of Tyler Cloyd, Justin De Fratus, and Phillippe Aumont fought off the Reds in a 4-2 win. It was kind of nice seeing some of the hyped up pitchers getting thrown into the pool to sink or swim, especially Aumont who had to dial up a save in his fourth game in the bigs. Very clutch.
Tonight, Kyle Kendrick...

Jonathan Papelbon quietly packed his red Phillies travel bag in the visitor’s clubhouse Sunday night at Turner Field.
The closer had just served up a three-run home run to Braves third baseman Chipper Jones in the bottom of the ninth inning in a brutal 8-7 loss. Papelbon is paid big money to close games, so any time he blows one he is upset.
But this one had a different feeling...
Close, but no cigar for the 2012 Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Despite their second straight winning season, and having the Pitcher of the Year in the International League, the IronPigs were eliminated over the weekend from playoff contention, then rained out on Sunday, to finish at 75-68. A year after losing in the Governor's Cup Finals, they fell just short of a second playoff...
The Phillies scored first tonight in Cincy thanks to a bases-loaded walk from Dom Brown which forced in Chase Utley. 1-0 Phils in the fourth.
In the following inning, Jimmy Rollins collected hit no. 2,000 of his career with a double down the right field line. He's the fourth Phillie in franchise history to have 2,000+ hits.
Kyle Kendrick was looking sharp as usual through...
