PLAYERS: Roger Clemens
TEAMS: Houston Astros
In recent years, throwback-style uniforms have become increasingly popular among sports fans. The Houston Astros appeared to have that in mind as they designed their new uniforms. In 2013, when the team moves to the American League, Houston will be ditching the red-and-black star and pinstriped jerseys it has used for years. Instead, the club will give a nod to Astros jerseys of the past with its new look. Fans may not be surprised about the new apparel after photos of the logo were accidentally leaked in late October, but they're still a cause for excitement in Houston. Here are the new Astros uniforms

Last week, we brought you an image of the new Astros logo. Friday night was the official launch party for the new logo and uniforms, and this is what they look like, courtesy of Cory Hepola of CSN Houston. Pretty slick, in my opinion. A nice blend of the old and the new. The shading on the cap logo is slightly different, but the logo itself is the same basic logo as what the...

These are the new uniforms for the Houston Astros

Not only will the Houston Astros be moving to a new division in 2013 (from the NL Central to the AL West), but they'll also be wearing new uniforms. Check them out: (Click to see larger image) My reaction is pretty "meh" to these. Not bad, not great. I think I would like the home uniforms more with one of the navy hats.  Thigh Five: @BizballMaury...

2013 Projections: Lowrie, Maxwell, Altuve

This offseason I'm going to focus on my projections above anything else. I'll be working my way through team-by-team, worst regular season record to best record. So that means we start with the newest addition to the American League, the Houston Astros. Jed Lowrie - SS - HOU 2013 Age: 29 - Splits: Better as RHB 2013 Projection: .257/.339/.442, 17 HR, 45 RBI,...

Astros, Steelers, Packers Throwbacks Among Top 10 Oddest Uniform Choices (Photos)

The Houston Astros are moving to a new league and are looking for a fresh start and as the saying goes, "out with the old, in with the new." Houston is definitely getting rid of the old as they prepare to move from the National League Central divison to the American League West division. But the team's new uniforms that were unveiled on Friday are...

Astros unveil new look for 1st season in AL

The Houston Astros have unveiled new uniforms, getting rid of the brick red they've worn since 2000 and returning to the orange and navy blue used for most of the franchise's existence. The new look coincides with Houston's move from the National League to the American League for 2013. The color scheme is the same used from 1962-93. They're also using the logo from...

Houston Astros officially unveil new uniforms and logo at launch party

Tweet   Much of the suspense was absent due to leaks of the Houston Astros’ new logo via the team’s website and through a local sports & outdoors store, but that didn’t stop fans from turning out yesterday to see the official unveiling at Minute Maid Park. 2012 All-Star second baseman Jose Altuve, outfielder Justin [...]

MLB Rumors: Houston Astros Unveil New Uniforms In Preparation Of Move To American League

It is no secret that the Houston Astros love changing things up when it comes to the design of their logo and uniforms. From the early days of the Colt .45s with “Turk” Farrell and Rusty Staub to the magnificent blue, orange and yellow days with Nolan Ryan and Mike Scott to the blue and gold of Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio to the more recent red and black of Lance Berkman and...
