Last time

The Red Sox and Yankees last played 2 games of a rain-shortened 3-game series in late April. The Red Sox were owned by the Yankees in those 2 games...I don't think you want me to elaborate.

This time

Laser Show: David Ortiz & Adrian Gonzalez

David Ortiz continues to keep it pretty consistent and Adrian Gonzalez is working out the kinks. I have more confidence in Big Papi, and can only hope Gonzo can do something to help this team out in the way they brought him here for.
Pitch Around: Robinson Cano

A great average, great power, and great run production. Add in a .318 career average, 17 homers and 77 RBI against the Sox, and I give you the man that should get an intentional walk or two in the series. Or one a little inside...make it count.

Don't Fall Behind: All 4 starters

Once the Sox fall behind, you can pretty much count them out. They need to get into the game early and awaken their bats. This could be their one of their last opportunities to have life in the wild-card race.

How we see it goin' down

I don't have much confidence in the Sox at all. After losing 5-of-7 against the Mariners and A's, there are no signs pointing towards victories this series. The Red Sox will probably salvage 1 game, and that's about it. It could get ugly.
