This week, the man who would be AJ Burnett returns to Gotham with his brand new life, reputation and resume: A 16-8 record and 3.53 ERA, which if you're scoring at home, happens to be a slight improvement over the man who turned out to be his replacement, Freddy Garcia. But - hey, who wants to hear about that? Nope, we traded AJ Burnett to Pittsburgh for a slice of pizza, and for reasons unknown to modern man - this blog somehow appeals to entities that feel compelled to scream against the storm whenever AJ Burnett's record is mentioned - and for you all who want to yell once more into the void... HAVE AT IT! Yep. We can celebrate the future that is Freddy Garcia and Michael PinHEADa instead of AJ. I Feel A.J. was getting no love in New York the fans were brutal if Pirates had waited they would have not have spent what they did. A change was what Burnetts carear needed and his style was ideal for N.L. Cental. His homeruns are down due to being out of Yankees homer dome. He also faced a pitcher every 9 at bats. Noticed some days stuff is unhittable but on occasion a little wild but all Pirates can say is THANK YOU! He was the 16 games worth of improvement this year. Bedard was a dissapointment good stuff but does everything slow a normal game takes 2-3 hours not when he is pitching 3-4 if he worked fast threw strikes and stayed ahead on the batters he would have won 16 , but he seems to be very lacksadasical even in his interviews he acts disinterested with body language. I persoally wish they had signed him to a one year extension. I think an attitude adjustment he would be a quality pitcher again.
