Your browser does not support iframes. If there were more players like Jeff Francoeur across professional sports, the in-stadium experience would be a lot more enjoyable for fans. Francoeur is a master of coming up with creative ways to interact with fans at the ballpark, and he was back at it again this week. During a game against the White Sox on Tuesday, the Royals right fielder went into the corner to chase a foul ball. The ball ended up making its way into the seats, but Francoeur figured he might as well enjoy a snack since he already had to lean over the railing. He dug his hand right into a fan’s bucket of popcorn and walked away chuckling. While the group of fans who received $100 from Francoeur for drinks during a game or the ones who got free pizza were a bit luckier than this fan, it’s still a pretty cool story to share with your friends.

Jeff Francoeur is probably best known for his free-swinging ways at the plate, but he seems equally agressive when it comes to snacks. Francoeur wandered over to the right field stands in the eighth inning of Tuesday's game in the hopes of making a play on a foul ball. He wasn't able to make the catch, but he did grab an opportunity to steal a quick bite to eat. "Frenchy...

VIDEO: Francoeur steals some popcorn

Jeff Francoeur of the Kansas City Royals has been a pretty generous guy in 2012. We’ve heard of him giving out money in his “Frenchy Quarter” section at Kaufmann Stadium. He even bought pizza for fans in Oakland. Unfortunately Tuesday night he got hungry during the Royals game vs the Chicago White Sox, which means it was time to collect. After chasing a foul ball he decided...

Lamb progressing after Tommy John surgery

The Royals refer to left-hander John Lamb these days as their "extra daft pick" for 2012 - an extra draft pick that could be ready for the big leagues some time in 2013. Lamb, actually a fifth-round pick in 2008, missed most of 2011 and this season after undergoing Tommy John surgery, the same surgery that has shelved starters Danny Duffy and Felipe Paulino. Lamb is almost...

Royals dump Betancourt after he complains about playing time

The Kansas City Royals' decision to designate infielder Yuniesky Betancourt for assignment was about more than just his .228 batting average and .256 on-base percentage. Betancourt complained to manager Ned Yost about his lack of playing time. That apparently did not go over well. "Yuni did a great job for us, but he was a guy that wanted more playing time," Yost...

Royals' Chen increases reliance on fastball, ends slump

Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost had a discussion with left-hander Bruce Chen about being more aggressive on the mound. Chen was winless in his previous seven starts before Tuesday, and his fastball was sitting mostly in the 83-85 mph range. In his previous start, Chen was staked to a 6-0 lead against the Indians, but he was knocked out in the third inning. "His last...

Royals new slogan should be 'It's About Time.'

The Royals certainly opened themselves up for criticism from the national media as well as a few uninformed bloggers recently. First, the Royals and manager Ned Yost made it clear to the team's infielders that fraternizing with opposing baserunners was no longer going to be permitted, a story you read first here on FOXSportsKansasCity.com. Then the Royals abruptly let go of...
