How was Jose Bautista able to break out of his slump against the Red Sox this weekend? It’s gotta be the pants. The Blue Jays slugger had gone just 5-for-37 (.135) in the ten games leading up to the four-game set at Fenway Park, causing his batting average to drop by nearly 20 points. Dickey‘s trousers to do so. The curse-breaker worked like a charm. Bautista went 5-for-9 with four RBIs over the two games, clubbing three monster home runs and gunning down Shane Victorino at the plate with a laser of a throw from right field. Blue Jays not ready to recall Ricky Romero

Despite the recent success of Ricky Romero at Triple-A the Blue Jays are not looking to recall the one-time all-star. After a rough start at Buffalo, Romero owns a 3.45 ERA over his last five starts. Lost in those stats are the 14 walks that the left hander has given up in those 28 innings of work. While control has never been one of Romero’s strengths but considering he baseball...

Colby Rasmus slides like his beard - dirty

Below is a screen cap of the dirty slide:  Here's a GIF via SB Nation:   Rasmus wound up more than...
