Jose Iglesias has been used primarily at third base during his most recent major league call-up, but he’ll get the start at his natural position, shortstop, when the Red Sox take on the Orioles in Baltimore on Friday. Iglesias — promoted from Pawtucket when Will Middlebrooks went on the disabled list in late May — has performed well enough to merit an extended stint with the big league club. Over his last 10 starts, the 23-year-old batting .486 (17-for-35) with five walks, four RBIs and nine runs scored, and his playing time should continue to increase now that the team has traded infielder Pedro Ciriaco to San Diego. Mike Carp also gets the start Friday night in place of first baseman Mike Napoli, who left Thursday’s extra-inning loss after one at-bat with an undisclosed illness. Carp homered after taking over for Napoli, and he brings a .330/.371/.680 slash line into Friday night’s tilt. See the full starting lineups for both teams below. Boston Red Sox (41-27) Jacoby Ellsbury, CF Shane Victorino, RF Dustin Pedroia, 2B David Ortiz, DH Mike Carp, 1B Daniel Nava, LF Jose Iglesias, SS Will Middlebrooks, 3B David Ross, C Ryan Dempster, RHP Baltimore Orioles (38-29) Nate McLouth, LF Manny Machado, 3B Nick Markakis, RF Adam Jones, CF Chris Davis, 1B Matt Wieters, C J.J. Hardy, SS Chris Dickerson, DH Ryan Flaherty, 2B Chris Tillman, RHP
