Final: Phillies 4, Cardinals 0.

WP: Kyle Kendrick (1-4) LP: Jaime Garcia (3-3)

For the first time in Kyle Kendrick's six-year career (104 total starts), he has thrown a complete-game shutout.  He allowed just 7 hits, striking out 4 to go the distance Saturday night against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Out of the 32 total batters faced tonight, Kyle Kendrick's first pitch was a strike in 22 of them.

The Phillies offense has surprisingly improved as of late. They have scored 19 runs so far after three games in this four-game series.  It took them their previous six games prior to coming to St. Louis (against the Red Sox and Nationals) to match that number.

Freddy Galvis picked up his 23rd RBI of the season, and Hunter Pence raised his batting average tonight to (.259) after going 2-3 and scoring two runs.

Roy Halladay will take the mound tomorrow afternoon against Adam Wainwright, looking to secure his team the sweep and his individual fifth victory of the season.
