Final: Marlins 2, Phillies 7. WP: Kyle Kendrick (3-1, 2.43 ERA) LP: Alex Sanabia (2-4, 4.67 ERA) After coming off arguably one of the worst series under the Charlie Manuel being outscored by a staggering amount of 20 runs to 2, the Phillies needed to come out Thursday night and take advantage of the struggling Miami Marlins.  Well, they did just that. Once again, Kyle Kendrick came through for the Phillies as the fourth starter in the rotation.  He threw seven solid innings tonight, allowing just two runs on seven hits and two walks. 67 of his 96 total pitches were thrown for strikes.  With tonight being his 170th career game, Kendrick is 57-43 overall in his career with a sub-4.30 ERA.  Not bad at all.   Both Domonic Brown and Ryan Howard homered for their fourth time of the season respectively tonight, as Brown now has 13 RBIs total and Howard with 17.  With the warmer weather arriving, expect Howard to break out and rebound from his disappointing April.  In his last 12 games, Howard has 4 doubles, 3 home runs and 12 total RBIs.  Chase Utley hit a sacrifice fly-RBI in the bottom of the sixth to extend the Phils' lead to 3-1, and Jimmy Rollins later scored from third that inning on a passed ball. Mike Adams retired the Marlins in order in the top of the eighth and struck out two, reliving Kendrick.   The Phillies picked up three insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth, partially thanks to Domonic Brown who singled-in Howard home from second base to get the rally started.  Dom went 3-4 tonight with two runs scored and two RBIs. Jonathan Papelbon shut the door in the top of the ninth with a commanding 7-2 lead to secure the Phils' 13th victory of the season. Congratulations goes out to former Phillie, Juan Pierre, who picked up his 600th career stolen base this evening.  He now ranks 18th all-time in MLB history for the category. Rookie Jonathan Pettibone will make his third career start tomorrow evening against the Marlins' Ricky Nolasco.  Pettibone is 1-0 with a 4.35 ERA thus far filling-in for the injured John Lannan.  He has a 1.452 WHIP, allowing 13 hits and 2 walks within 10 and a third innings pitched.  First-pitch is set for 7:05 pm ET and the game can be seen on CSN.
