If anyone ever needed a quality start it was none other than Mike Leake. After last Wednesday's performance against the Phillies, Leake looked to rebound and get a victory at home. Pitching at GABP hasn't been easy for Leake (3-5, 5.69 era).  Leake gave up a solo shot in the top of the first inning to give the Buccos a 1-0 lead. Brandon Phillips followed that solo shot up with a solo shot of his own in the bottom of the first to tie the game at 1-1. Phillips later followed that up with an RBI double in his second plate appearance to give the good guys an advantage at 2-1. After the double with Drew Stubbs batting, Kevin Correia threw a wild pitch followed by a throwing error from the catcher allowing both Leake and Phillips to score and give the Reds a 4-1 advantage.  Later in the game Mike Leake allowed a two run home run to allow the Pirates within one run at 4-3 and Scott Rolen then added an insurance run with a solo shot of his own to put the Reds up 5-3.
