As we near the start of the Major League Baseball season, the fine folks over at the MLB Fan Cave decided to produce a parody music video starring Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones and Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera. They used the template of Rihanna's hit song "Diamonds" and called their track "The Diamond" to pump up baseball fans. So, grab some popcorn and enjoy the show: Your browser does not support iframes. Detroit Tigers slugger (and 2012 American League MVP) Miguel Cabrera stars in the latest MLB Fan Cave video to get you ready for a new season of major league baseball. The video, which also stars Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones, borrows the tune of the Rihanna hit "Diamonds" while using baseball-themed lyrics and some autotuning to welcome the major leaguers...

Miguel Cabrera, Adam Jones Remake Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’ Music Video to Promote MLB Opening Day (Video)

Opening Day is within sight with spring training in full effect. Just as fans can’t wait to get back in the stands, players are anxious to return to the field. To prove it, reigning AL MVP Miguel Cabrera and Orioles All-Star Adam Jones were featured in a music video, tweaking the lyrics to Rihanna’s hit single, “Diamonds” to show fans that they can’t wait “to get...

Miguel Cabrera and Adam Jones in Rihanna’s “Diamond” parody (VIDEO)

Tigers Tripler Crownee Miguel Cabrera and Orioles center fielder Adam Jones combined to drum up this beauty of a video parodying Rihanna’s jam “Diamonds.” The revamped lyrics couldn’t be worse, but the acting is dead nuts. If this doesn’t get you in the mood for a little romance baseball, nothing will. via Tyler Hissey

With the start the MLB baseball season is around the corner, Adam Jones of the Baltimore Orioles and Miguel Cabrerra of the Detroit Tigers did a video to show just how excited they are to get back on the [...]

Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera homered over a tiki bar (Video)

Back on Monday, Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera saw his first action of spring training and it appeared that he was already in midseason form. Watch as he crushes this pitch from Philadelphia Phillies closer Johnathan Papelbon in the fifth inning of the game that soars over a tiki bar in the outfield: Your browser does not support iframes. What are the Expectations for the 2013 Baltimore Orioles?

The O’s look to build on the success of their 2012 season As a life long Baltimore Orioles fan, the 2012 season can only be described as magical. The O’s took a talented young team without many marquee “stars”, and pieced together a competitive squad that went on a run and eventually snuck into the playoffs after defeating the Rangers in the wild card game. They eventually...

Odd video parody of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” featuring Miguel Cabrera

Whether it’s the Matthew Stafford Monday Night Football or Justin Verlander MLB 2k12 commercials, I usually find these spots featuring Detroit athletes pretty entertaining with some level of comedic value. However this parody video of “Diamonds” by Rihanna featuring Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera is just downright weird… I am interested though in seeing a Phil Coke impersonation...

Jones: I'm going after Cal's record

Orioles outfielder Adam Jones played in every game last season, so he says he is now going after Cal Ripken Jr.'s games record.

The Unique Power-Speed Combos of Braun, Pence and Jones

Of the positive events for hitters, home runs and infield hits are polar opposites, and not just in terms of impact. The home run is the realm of the beefed-up slugger, the lumberers. The infield hit is reserved for the wisps, the sprinters, the scrawny slap hitters. Unsurprisingly, there is a weak negative correlation between home runs and infield hits on a per-plate appearance...

MLB Players perform remix of Rhianna’s “Diamonds”

In order to get the fan’s excited about the upcoming start of the Major League Baseball season, the MLB Fan Cave has been releasing videos starring MLB Players performing spoofs of songs and in some cases movie scenes.  There’s really no way to describe this video with Miguel Cabrera and Adam Jones, so you’re just going to have to watch their spoof of “Diamonds.” [Fan Cave]

Domonic Brown clears the batters eye

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder is (inexplicably) fighting for a job this winter after the team signed veteran Delmon Young (who hasn't played in a spring game yet after offseason ankle surgery). Brown is having himself a solid spring so far, and on Tuesday, he hit his second homer of the preseason. This shot, a solo blast off of Zach Nuding of the Yankees, actually cleared...

World Baseball Classic

The two teams Detroit Tigers fans want to pay attention to is Venezuela and Dominican Republic. Venezuela features reigning Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera, recently resigned Annibal Sanchez, and second baseman Omar Infante. For the Dominican Republic, Octavio Dotel is the lone Tiger representative. The very competitive Justin Verlander will not play for Team USA.  As interesting...

Red Sox-Orioles Live: Franklin Morales to Make Spring Training Debut Against Adam Jones, Matt Wieters, Orioles

6:15 p.m. ET: John Farrell is turning to his starters in an effort to bounce back from Tuesday’s 15-4 defeat. A day after getting smoked by the Cardinals, the Red Sox will take on the Orioles in the first of the teams’ five spring training meetings. The Boston lineup will pack a pretty good punch, as a number of the team’s regulars will get the nod against Buck Showalter...
