Fansisco Lindor, the Tribe’s top pick in 2011, could be done for the season. After their 5-3 win over Reading, Akron Aeros manager Edwin Rodriguez told the Akron Beacon Journal’s Ryan Lewis that top Indians prospect Francisco Lindor could miss the remainder of the season due to a sore back. Rodriguez now says he “might be done for the season.” — Ryan Lewis (@RyanLewisABJ) August 18, 2013 Lindor, the Tribe’s top prospect and ranked 5th overall by MLB.com, was promoted to Akron mid-season and appeared in 21 games for the Aeros. In 76 at-bats in Akron, Lindor notched seven doubles, a triple and a home run while hitting .289 with an OPS of .801. In 83 games for Carolina this season, Lindor’s numbers were stellar: .306 average, 51 runs scored, 19 doubles, 6 triples, 1 home run, 27 RBI, 35 walks, 39 strikeouts. He’s also considered the best defensive shortstop in the organization. The Aeros, fifth in the AA Eastern League’s Western Division with a record of 58-67, have sixteen games left to play and will conclude their season on Tuesday, September 2nd.  [Related: The Diff: Cleveland Indians Prospect Movement in 2013]
