Three top pitchers are on the mound today as Stolmy Pimentel, Nick Kingham and Clay Holmes all take the hill. All three have pitched well recently, with Holmes turning his season around after a slow start. Bradenton was rained out yesterday. They will make up the game today as part of a doubleheader. Stolmy Pimentel threw eight shutout innings the last time he faced Louisville Photo Credit: Mark Olson AAA: Indianapolis (66-50) vs Louisville (57-59) 1:35pm Probable starter:  Stolmy Pimentel (2-3, 2.45) Yesterday’s Result: Louisville 5, Indianapolis 1 Stolmy Pimentel will make his 23rd start of the season this afternoon.  It will be his tenth start for Indianapolis. Pimentel has thrown a total of 136 innings, allowing 118 hits, 12 homers and 50 walks. He has 104 strikeouts, a 1.22 GO/AO ratio and a .232 BAA. In his last start, he went 6.2 innings, giving up one earned run on six hits and two walks. In his last four starts combined, Pimentel has given up four earned run over 27.2 innings. He threw eight shutout innings against Louisville the last time they faced off against each other. AA: Altoona (53-58) vs Akron (54-59) 6:00pm Probable starter: Nick Kingham (3-3, 2.96) Yesterday’s Result: Akron 6, Altoona 5 Nick Kingham will make his 21st start of the season tonight. He has also pitched twice in relief, both times starting the completion of games suspended by rain. Before joining Altoona, Kingham went 6-3, 3.09 in 13 starts with Bradenton. He has thrown a total of 118.2 innings this year, allowing 96 hits, seven homers and 34 walks. He has 113 strikeouts, an 0.93 GO/AO ratio and a .219 BAA. In his last start, Kingham went five innings, allowing three runs while issuing a season-high six walks. At the time of his promotion, he was leading the FSL in strikeouts. High-A: Bradenton (41-68 overall, 15-26 2nd half) @ Daytona (57-45) 4:35pm  DH Probable starter: Robby Rowland (3-10, 5.42) and TBD Yesterday’s Result:  Bradenton was rained out yesterday Robby Rowland will get his 20th start of the season tonight. He has also pitched twice in relief. Rowland has pitched a total of 98 innings, giving up 106 hits, ten homers and 40 walks. He has 49 strikeouts, a 1.34 GO/AO ratio and a .277 BAA. In his last start, he gave up six runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings. Rowland has allowed four or more runs in eight of his last ten starts. No starter has been named yet for game two. Low-A: West Virginia (62-47 overall, 25-14 2nd half) vs Lakewood (44-65) 2:05pm Probable starter: Clay Holmes (4-5, 4.21) Yesterday’s Result: West Virginia 7, Lakewood 3 Clay Holmes will make his 21st start of the season today. He also pitched once in relief, starting the completion of a suspended game. Holmes has thrown a total of 98.1 innings, giving up 86 hits, five homers and 60 walks. He has 72 strikeouts, a 1.84 GO/AO ratio and a .239 BAA. In his last start, he threw six shutout innings, giving up two hits and four walks, while striking out five batters. Since the All-Star game, Holmes has gone 2-0, 3.05 in eight games. Short-Season A: Jamestown (27-18) vs Brooklyn (23-22) 1:05pm Probable Starter: Isaac Sanchez (1-0, 3.18) Yesterday’s Result: Brooklyn 7, Jamestown 4 Isaac Sanchez will make his ninth start of the season today. He has pitched a total of 34 innings, allowing 30 hits, two homers and 14 walks. He has 30 strikeouts, a 2.30 GO/AO ratio and a .238 BAA. In his last start, Sanchez went five innings, giving up one unearned run on two hits and two walks while striking out a season-high of eight batters. In five of his starts he has allowed one earned run or less. Rookie:  GCL Pirates (18-20) vs GCL Tigers (23-13) 12:00pm 8/5 Probable Starter: TBD Yesterday’s Result:  Yankees2 6, Pirates 5 The GCL Pirates have off today. They will resume play on Monday against the Tigers for a two game series. The Tigers are in first place in their division and have the second best record in the GCL. The Pirates are in second place in their division, a half game behind the Yankees1.
