The Colorado Rockies recently designated infielder Reid
Brignac for assignment to make room on the roster for DJ LeMahieu. Following
the move, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports notes that the Pittsburgh Pirates and
Minnesota Twins could be a few of the teams interested in Brignac.

Brignac came up through the Tampa Bay Rays’ minor league
system as a top prospect. His potential never developed in the majors, and
Tampa Bay dealt him to the Rockies in February.
Since joining the Rockies, Brignac appeared in 29 games,
hitting .250/.294/.375 with three doubles and one home run over 53 plate
